Curatorship, Brand Identity, Graphic Design and Communication Campaign
As André Stolarski (an well known graphic design from Brazil) has afirmed, the function of the Biennial is “to map, every two years, the most importante productions of graphic design in the country”. Ally to this concept and looking for a continuation of the visual language created on the last edition, we used the map of Brazil as a starting point to develop the identity of the 11st Biennial of Brazilian Graphic Design.
One the biggest challenges the Biennial faces is raising funds for the realization of the event. Since the main financial source are the registrations, our strategy, from the beginning, was create a flexible system that would offer varied resources to make a strong registration and propagation campaign.
The main element of the identity project, is the stylized map of Brazil. Pastel tones that relates to the past and traditions in contrast with dynamic gradients. The lines, the smallest distance between two objects, relates to objectivity and the search for tangible results for the clients. Meanwhile the curves symbolizes the organic process of developing a design project.
